R.I.P. Brittany Murphy

Just wanted to post up some very sad news.

Sunday morning, Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest at the extremely young age 0f 32. I've seen some of Brittany's work and I can honestly say that she was an amazing person. Even though I am barely posting this at 2 am in the morning on Monday night/Tuesday morning, I have been thinking of her a lot. I've been watching some of her interviews and I just finished watching her very LAST interview, which took place on December 1st, 2009. In this interview, she looked very tired and worn out. But at the same time, she looked at peace. This gave me great comfort. It's always sad when someone dies... especially someone like Brittany. Someone who was a truly genuine and amazing human being. May she rest in peace. May her soul find it's way to heaven.

You will be missed greatly.

The death of Brittany Murphy made me realize something that I have been avoiding for a while now.... I miss my family - Cesar, Tio Fino, & Mami Cande. They're the most I miss of those that have passed away. Cesar was my brother, my cousin, but most of all, he was my best friend. He passed away several years ago. When we both were 10 years old. His death really changed my life. My life will never be the same without him. He died from food poisining... and I miss him so much... My Tio Fino was my uncle. My favorite uncle. He was my mom's brother. He died because he was an alcoholic. But don't get me wrong. He was not those drunks that you see stumbling all over the place. Begging for money to get more alcohol. No. He was a respectful man that I loved dearly. To him, family was his world. And it truly saddens me that he's gone. My Mami Cande is the most recent loss to my family. She died in 2006 - in a car accident. It was so sudden - it shook our entire family. I miss her so much. Life isn't fair. It's short, cruel, but yet bitter sweet. If I have learned anything from the passing of my family members - it's that I should never take anything for granted... because you never know it's value until it's gone.

I'm back !

I can't believe it's been months since I last updated! My life has changed dramatically since I last blogged. Where to start?! Okay, now. Let's see. Last time I blogged, it was about my puppy passing away. That was back in June. Okay, let's start in July !!!

July

Hmmm ;; well - remember I blogged about my cousin, Angie, being pregnant? Well, she had her son, Michael, on July 6th. :) One of the happiest days of my life. On her way to the hospital with her boyfriend & mom, Angie picked me & my sister up. We arrived at the hospital with so much excitement & anxiousness. My sister, best friend, & I stayed at the hospital every single minute. We even spent the night in the car because she wasn't ready to give birth yet. The next morning, Angie had her first son. :) I stayed by her side the entire time ;; through the pregnancy, the labor, and now, the beginning of her son's life.

Hmmm ;; not much went on in July.. one of my best friend's, Katie, turned 20. Happy Bday Katie :) Oh & we did get a new puppy! I don't know if we got her in July... but anyways, we named her Lily. She happens to be Missy's niece. LoL. Funny, huh? Missy was much more affectionate and playful, Lily, however, plays rough. LoL. She loves biting and attacking us. LoL. She's only 5 months old. The picture below is of Angie & Lily. This was taken probably 3 or so days after we got Lily.

Oh, before I move onto the next month, one of the BEST things happened to me at the end of July. It was my brother's 12th bday on the 31st. [ Happy Bday Eddie! && Happy Bday Harry Potter!! :] Anyways, while my brother was opening up his presents, there was an envelope with my name on it in his pile of presents. He handed it to me. We all thought that someone had gotten our bday's mixed up. Even though there's a 3 month gap between my bday and my brothers. So, I opened the envelope and I found a card inside. It was in Spanish. I can read Spanish, but I hate reading Spanish out loud. But Angie kept encouraging, well, more like demanding, that I read it out loud. As I started reading, it dawned on me... Angie was asking me to be her son's Godmother. The moment it hit me, I started crying. LoL. I was so shocked. Words can't really explain the feelings I had at that moment. I walked over to Angie and we, both crying, embraced. I was then handed Michael, my godson :) I still can't believe Michael is my godson. It's such an Honor. And I thank Angie & her boyfriend, Michael Sr., for giving me their son. Check out the video below!

August

Now, moving onto August... what happened in August? Ummm... nothing that I can really remember. I started school again. That's about it... Oh, and my other best friend, Yanet, turned 21!!! Happy Bday Yanet :)

September

Ummm, nothing really... LoL. Nope, can't think of anything. Hung out with friends. A lot. LoL. Oh, and it was one of my best friend's bday. Inez :) Had a good time on her bday! Happy Bday Inez!

October

Well, it was my bday in October. Finally turned 20! Had a little bday kick back. Other than that, nothing much. Went out with friends a lot. Griselle, one of my best friends, turned 21! My sister, Priscilla, turned 16. :) But other than that... nada. LoL. Happy Bday's to Griselle, Priscilla, Jeremiah, Victor, Sammy, Robert, Yesenia, Ashley, and ME! LoL.

November

Well, thanksgiving... and that's it. LoL. Oh, and I worked Black Friday. I was absolutely exhausted! But I love my job :) I work at the happiest place around :)

December

Hmmm, well. Christmas is coming. :) And that's it. On Sunday I went to LA. And that's about it. Well, I'm off! I got the day off of work. Going home. It's been raining like crazy the past few days. My garage got flooded yesterday, spent most of the day helping my family sweeping out all the water. But it's all good now. We got the job done. Oh and Happy Bday's to Ivan, Vanessa, and Mami Chela. And Happy Early Bday to Jasmine :)
